Shamble, Four Player Teams, Two Best Net Balls, 85% Handicap

  1. All four players tee off on every hole.  The team then selects one ball to determine the spot from which to play their next shot.
  2. Each player must use at least three tee shots.
  3. Each player then hits from within one club length of that spot (but only six inches on the putting surface), no closer to the hole.  You cannot use the one club length to change the condition of the lie (rough to fairway, out of a penalty area, etc.).
  4. After the tee shot, play your own ball until it is holed.
  5. You are requested to pick up if your score will not help the team.
  6. Special Note: If your team has a no-show, you will be moved to the Individual Stableford, just play your own ball.  Let the Proshop know as soon as possible (972-529-5990).

Step Aside Scramble, 25%/20%/15%/10%from lowest to highest handicap

  1. All four players tee off on every hole.
  2. The team then selects one ball to determine the spot from which to play the next shot.
  3. Each player then hits from within one club length of that spot (but only six inches on the putting surface), no closer to the hole.  You cannot use the one club length to change the condition of the lie (rough to fairway, out of a penalty area, etc.).
  4. IMPORTANT: the player whose ball was selected does NOT get to hit (i.e., steps aside).  Therefore, after the tee shot, only three players hit the next shot.
  5. Steps 2 & 3 are repeated until the ball is holed.
  6. Each player must use at least three tee shots.
  1. Special Note: If your team has a no-show, you will be moved to the Individual Stableford, just play your own ball.  Let the Proshop know as soon as possible (972-529-5990).

Alternate Shot, Two Man Teams
AB CD Flights, 50% of Combined Team Handicap

The two team players are called partners and each pair of partners is called a side.  Each side will play one ball from the tee.  Partners will take turns hitting the same ball and alternately hitting the tee shots.

  1. Choose one partner to tee off on all even numbered holes, the other will tee off on all the odd numbered holes.  Since this is a shotgun start, use the hole number on the scorecard to determine odd/even.  For instance, if your first hole is hole #20, it is an even numbered hole even though it is your 1st hole.  Note: if you are participating in the closest to the pin contest, you can play a shot on the Par 3’s (If isn’t your turn to drive the shot cannot be used and does not affect order of play).
  2. After teeing off the players alternate hitting the same ball.
  3. Record the GROSS strokes (including penalties) that it took for each team to hole out.

Notes:

  1. Two stroke penalty if a side plays a ball in incorrect order.
  2. Penalty shots do not affect the order of play.
  3. You must use the same ball on a hole (no switching to your own ball to putt with).
  4. Mercy rule is in effect.  Net Double Bogey is the maximum team score
  5. Special Note: If your team has a no-show, you will be moved to the Individual Stableford, just play your own ball.  Let the Proshop know as soon as possible (972-529-5990).

On the 3rd, player in position 3. On the 4th, player in position 4. The cycle then repeats throughout the rest of the round.  Noted on the scorecard as P1, P2, P3, P4.
  2. We will count the Lone Ranger’s ball as well as the one best ball of the other 3 players. So, two balls will be counted on each hole.

Two Best Net Balls, Four Man Teams, 85% Handicap

  1. Can’t be any easier, play your own ball, but your team only needs two scores per hole (the two best net balls).  The Golf Genius will calculate this score for you, but there is a line for you to enter the team score.  We will ignore it, but you can fill it in if you want to.
  2. This format is chosen to protect pace of play, and the maximum score on any hole is net double bogey.  If it is obvious that your ball is not going help the team score, pick up and record your “most likely score” with an X in front of it.
  3. Special Note: If your team has a no-show, your team will receive an equivalent blind draw.
