The 2019 SMGA Annual dinner will be on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Ranch Clubhouse (Dinner at 7:00, check-in / cash bar opens about 6:05), country club casual.  This dinner is free to all 2019 Members, but guests will be charged at our cost ($28++).  There are lots of ways to add your guest’s name when you sign up, but the easiest way is to just click the “Playing” button below.  That will take you to a new screen with two options, one of which is “Sign up other guests” click that link and follow the instructions.  (If you are doing email on a tiny iPhone note that these links are in very small font).  Please sign up as soon as possible because I must give the Club a head count by Monday morning.

Four-man Shamble or Individual Stableford.

This event will have two forms of play.  The members that sign up earliest (~32) will play a team four-man shamble, count two best balls.  The members who sign up the latest (~7) will play an individual net Stableford.

Translation: If you want to play in the team shamble, sign up Saturday or Sunday, but if you don’t like the team format and want to play the individual format just sign up Monday or Tuesday.  If you forgot to sign up Saturday or Sunday, but really wanted to play the Shamble, too bad, next time sign up earlier.

 

 

 

READ THIS:  In response to the member’s inputs on the Planning Survey we are making some significant changes to encourage after-round camaraderie so please plan on staying for a few minutes after the round.  Also, we have moved scorecard turn in to the Main Dining Room.  We will hide your leader board results when you complete your first sixteen holes and leave it off until the next day.  But we will announce the results in the main dining room.  If you want to know the results, stick around.  We will hold a must be present to win raffle (using the $1 event rake for funds).  We have worked with the Ranch Service Director (Josh Blea) and he has volunteered to work up a special offer from Food & Beverage for Wednesday, details will depend on how many players sign up.  Remember, you must sign and turn in to the scorer’s table your paper scorecard.  Please respond  as either “Playing” or “Not Playing” by clicking the appropriate button below.  You can change your choice at any time before we close the sign ups, usually 3:00 PM of the Tuesday before the event.  You are receiving this email four days in advance, so we hope you know your schedule well enough to be able to predict whether you are playing or not.

It is helpful to us if you click the appropriate button, even if it is "Not Playing".
